What is PSAT? & PSAT Pre-Admin Session

October 2nd & 3rd

The PSAT is a test that 10th graders should take at CDS. It is considered important for predicting success in handling college-level work. The PSAT will allow students to view their strengths and weaknesses in Mathematics and Evidence-Based Reading and Writing. The PSAT data provides the students with valuable information for helping students in their preparation for the SAT.

In addition, the PSAT assists counselors in making appropriate recommendations into Advanced Placement (AP) and other upper-level courses. We strongly encourage students to take advantage of this valuable resource for college and career exploration.

Colleges WILL NOT see the PSAT scores unless a student specifically requests this service.

During the Pre-Admin Session, each student received a packet that contains a practice test, test strategies, and test format.

Mr. Lee sent out very important email to the students. Please make sure to read his email to prepare what to bring and what not to bring on the test day.
