Yonsei University Invites Mr. Lee

April 27th 2024

Mr. Lee was honored to be invited as the keynote speaker at Yonsei University's teacher appreciation event for elite freshmen. He received the invitation alongside our CDS alumna, Jiah Choi. What's more, Mr. Lee was invited to this event for two consecutive years by three different students. We are glad to see our CDS alumni are doing so well in Yonsei University! WE ARE PROUD Of YOU ALL!

Counselor Events

Ms. Ackerman is actively attending counselor events and college events in Seoul. 

She is managing many events in Seoul along with in-school daily meetings. She is a great resource for you. Please book a meeting with Ms. Ackerman to figure out your next move to pick a class and have college plans.

U of Sydney came to our school for the first time, and we had informative session with the representative. 

The representative shared about Australia and Sydney in general and shared detailed information about the university.

U Chicago

University of Chicago came to CDS meeting with students today! Many students came for the session and learned about U Chicago!

We had the rep from John's Hopkins University.

Today's student involved workshop went really well with visual presentation and hands on materials.

HK Baptist University

April 16th 2024

Very cheerful Hong Kong Baptist University representative came to CDS meeting with our students. 

She shared information about the university. She said the school is comparably smaller than other universities, but still has lot to offer.

The Biggest College Fair Yet

April 17th 2024

Since 2019, CDS hosted college fairs. During the Covid, we could not arrange fairs, but this academic year, we are back to have many college visits and also have small to large fairs. Today, we had college fair with 26 different schools from the States. 

Grateful for CDS community who support this event. The reps were very pleased to have many students.

Also, they mentioned that the setting was the best they have been to so far. 

It was a short one hour fair, but there were many sharing going on.

HK Poly University came to meet our students today.

The rep shared that the school is at the center of Hong Kong convenient to experience HK culture. 

They also provide the dorms and scholarship opportunities along with the exchange programs.

Toronto Metropolitan University

April 9th 2024

The visit from Toronto Metropolitan University  to our campus was both informative and delightful. The representative shared a comprehensive overview of the opportunities available at TMU through a presentation accompanied by numerous slides. Additionally, students were provided with brochures containing further details about the university's offerings, along with a sweet treat of maple candies.

For those who may have missed this opportunity but are still interested in applying to universities in Canada in the future, please feel free to schedule an appointment with Ms. Ackerman.

The representative was genuinely delighted by the enthusiastic presence of all the students.

10G & 11G Mandatory Sessions + 11G Parent Session

Over the past three days, Ms. Ackerman conducted separate sessions for students of grade 10 and 11, as well as for parents of 11G students.

These sessions were comprehensive, covering crucial topics that students need to be well-versed in, including insights into the application process.

On Friday, the 29th, Ms. Ackerman held a dedicated session for 11G parents, focusing specifically on the application process for universities in the USA.

The session was highly informative and meticulously detailed, providing attendees with valuable insights.

Ms. Ackerman emphasized the significance of initiating productive meetings by scheduling appointments with her. To arrange a meeting, please utilize the page Staff .

Kyoto U of Advanced Science

Mar. 25th 2024

Kyoto University of Advanced Science representative came to meet with Mr. Lee and Ms. Han.

They have English program for Engineering. 

Also They will accept students for Bioenvironmental Science and Global Business and Economics from 2025.

If you were interested in Japan and these fields, please make an appointment with Mr. Lee.

Also if you want to check their broacher, please ask Ms. Han to get you one. Mr. Han has some copies!

HKUST

Mar. 25th 2024

Ms. Han had an incredible opportunity to participate in the HKUST Counselor Fly-In Program during the Spring Break. This immersive experience allowed her to get a glimpse into life at HKUST, including visits to classrooms, labs, and the library. She also had met with faculty, staff members, and explore various dormitories firsthand.

During her visit, Ms. Han had the pleasure of meeting Irene Jo, A distinguished CDS alumna, who shared her inspiring journey and HKUST experiences with 32 counselors from around the globe. Irene's engaging presentation and insightful Q&A session left a lasting impressions, garnering praise from fellow counselors.

With a vibrant Korean student community and a dedicated Korean students Association, you would not feel left alone. With colorful background and different countries the students are from, HKUST offers a diverse and inclusive environment.

March Korea Track Meetings

This week we met with students who are on the Korea Track.

LEINN International

Feb.28th 2024

LEINN International came to meet with our students and counselor. They have an interesting program which you will have chance to study in Bilbao, Berlin, and Seoul. While you experience this unique setting, you can also learn by creating real entrepreneurial companies in multicultural teams. The have LEINN Korea too. If you have questions about this program, please book a meeting with Ms. Ackerman to find out more.
