Two of Australia representatives came to visit our school sharing information about universities in Australia.

University of British Columbia representative came to our school and shared lots of information about the school and the life in Canada.
If you were planning on studying abroad to Canada, this school can be your great option.

Ms. Ackerman visited SFS to have a brunch meeting with Imperial College.
The session was informative and she had a great time to refresh all the information and building a positive relationship with Imperial College representatives.

Mini College Fair

We had a mini college fair at the Phoenix Cafe today.
This time, we had four different schools visiting CDS.
Middle Tennessee State University,
SCAD, IE, and Full Sail University.
All four representatives were kind and happy to meet with our students and parents. They shared lots of information and gave brochures and little souvenirs.

HKUST
Nov. 1st 2023
Hong Kong University of Science and Technology came to CDS met with our students who were interested in studying in Hong Kong.
The representative shared lots of information with the student life at the HKUST and also in Hong Kong.
If you were senior who is interested in Hong Kong especially to HKUST, you should already talked with Mr. Lee and already had some progress in application.
It is time for you to bring your thoughts about your major and your personal statement.

Wake Forest is a private research university in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Savannah College of Arts and Design

Savannah College of Arts and Design came to CDS!
It was very informative session!
The students who came for the session got some souvenirs and learned the SCAD has four different locations including Savannah (Georgia), Atalanta (Georgia), Lacoste (France), and online. Their specialized majors are quite unique and have many opportunities.

School of Visual Arts

School of Visual Arts came to CDS today!
As you might already know, the school is quite well known art school located in New York City.
There are so many successful SVA graduates in the art field and some of those are current faculty in SVA.

Minerva University

Minerva University came to visit our CDS!
The rep introduced the school system and what the school visions are.

Hult International Business School

Hult International representative, our students, Ms. Han, and Ms. Ackerman had a informative Zoom session at CDS. The representative was very thorough about the school. Hult is based in London and Boston so that you can choose where you want to study at and you can change your location too. The Hult also provides summer programs in San Francisco and Dubai.

Hongkong Information Session

Mr. Lee opened an information session for seniors who are interested in applying universities in Hong Kong.
As y'all already know by now, application process is very detailed and time consuming step by step work. If you were not sure or if you missed today's chance, please make an appointment with Mr. Lee and feel free to talk about what your concerns and questions are.

University of Toronto

University of Toronto visited CDS today!
He shared information about University of Toronto's three different locations, faculties with more than 700+ undergraduate program options, and over 10,000 different courses!!!

Oct. SAT
Oct. 6th 2023
SAT is happening tomorrow.
Please make sure not to come into the building unless you were the test takers or the proctors. The buildings will be locked until the test is over.
We will open the door for the test takers at 7:30am
The door will be locked at 8am. You cannot check in after 8am.
Parents can drop the students off at the door but cannot park at the school facility. Please park outside of school under the bridge.

Universities in Asia Info Session for Senior Parents
Oct. 9th 2023
Mr. Lee invited Senior's parents today for an information session about universities in Korea, Japan, HK, and Singapore. There were many parents participated and gained very valuable information about the process of the application. Also informed about what the Seniors and their parents expect to prepare for this year.
It can be difficult to digest everything at once, but you can always visit us and talk about your concerns and questions. You can make an appointment with Mr. Lee anytime he's available.
California State University, San Bernadino

Cal State San Bernadino Representative came to visit CDS met with some students. The representative introduced California School Systems and information about the school activities too. NYU, NYU Abu Dhabi, Northeastern

NYU and Northeastern University representatives came to CDS sharing their information about the schools.

York University came to CDS for the first time meeting with some of our students, Ms. Ackerman and Ms. Han.
York University is a public research university in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is Canada's third-largest university. If you were thinking to go abroad to Canada, this university can be on your list!

SHL, Schweizerische Hotelfachschule Luzern came to CDS meeting with students, Ms. Ackerman and Ms. Han. SHL is the partner for applied hospitality management education with national and international recognition. It is founded in 1909, and SHL is a leading professional-oriented hotel management institution in Lucerne, Switzerland.
If you are interested in hospitality, you should look into this school! They have many opportunities to do the internship in the world and very flexible to get a job in the field.

University of Waterloo

University of Waterloo came to CDS and shared information about the school. The University of Waterloo is a private liberal arts college in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Founded in 1866. They also have aviation program too. If you were interested in studying in Canada, this school can be on your list!

City U of HK

City University of Hong Kong representatives came to CDS sharing information about the school. City U HK is quite popular to CDS students. CityU is a public research university located in Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong.
Mr. Lee will have a seminar about universities in HongKong area. Please keep up with the emails Ms. Han sends.
CityU rep came with a Student ambassador who shared personal experience of internships and working opportunities after the graduation.

Kenyon College

Kenyon College representative came to CDS and have a good length conversation with Ms. Ackerman.
Keynyon College is a private libaeral arts college in Gambier, Ohio. It was founded in 1824, the oldest private institution of higher education in the state of Ohio.

UC Santa Cruz

Even though we had too many exciting meetings, sessions, and events were happening in the afternoon, students who signed up for the session came to the Dalton Hall and got some information about UCSC. Thanks for coming to our UCSC session!!

Johns Hopkins Representative came to CDS today!
It's 2nd time the rep came to visit us. The rep knew our alumni who went to Johns Hopkins. Ms. Ackerman gladly talked about our alumni for a while with her!

Griffith University

Ms. Ackerman and the representative of Griffith University had a meeting today. Griffith University is a public research university in South East Queensland on the east coast of Australia offering a variety of programs across their 5 campuses.

1st Cialfo Meeting for Senior
Aug. 22nd 2023
Seniors who want to apply the USA, UK, Canada, and Australia need to know how to use Cialfo, the application system for those countries.
Today, a Cialfo specialist virtually visited our CDS via Zoom and she gave a session to our senior students so that they can learn the system during the Lab.
Students were trying to learn it by actually doing it. Visiting Cialfo website with their computers gave them a chance to save the website and what to find where.
Thanks to the Cialfo specialist for the session and Ms. Ackerman who arranged this.
Seniors, you will have 1-2 meeting(s) next week as a group.
Please make an individual appointment with Ms. Ackerman even if you do not know where to start!
Visiting us will be a great start as the Senior!
Important Update - Attendance
Aug. 22nd 2023
Dear CDS,
When we have group meetings or events, you will have to answer to the invitation via google calendar. And when you come to the meeting, you will also need to check in with the attendance sheet.
Without the response by the due date - which will be usually the day before, you cannot be in the meeting. This is a new CDS policy that everyone needs to follow to attend the meetings/events.
Also, when you book our counselors, please go through the appointment site and at the end, it will remind you to update your calendar with the booking info. If it is not automatically added, please add it to the calendar so that you won't forget about it.
If you have any questions, please ask Ms. Han for the advise. She will let you know how to book, cancel, reschedule, and or other information that you need.
