Hello everyone, Jennifer Ackerman here!

Although I grew up in New York and have spent most of my life there thus far, I have always had a love of traveling and visiting other places. After getting my undergraduate degree from Cornell University and my Master’s degree from NYU, I have worked as a college counselor in a couple of different locations; the most recent being at a boarding school that was situated in a remote mountaintop village in the Swiss alps. It provided many spectacular views but also challenges particularly when the cog train (the only public transit up/down the mountain) wasn’t functioning. If you’d like to see a picture of the view from my balcony there, I’d be happy to share it with you!

I have had a love of Korean culture for a while now and have enjoyed living here and working with the students at CDS. I am also very much looking forward to taking advantage of all the wonderful things Korea has to offer.
